Imagine more.

Memphis Library Foundation funds innovative programs, resources, and spaces for Memphians of all ages at Memphis Public Libraries. Imagine what we can do with your support.

What will you think of next?

We’re proud to fund inventive programs and amenities that make your libraries incredible — a podcast studio, a robotics lab, a library cafe, and innovators in residence to name a few. Where do all these ideas come from? YOU! Library lovers in every community in Memphis can tell their branch what they want to see most, then Memphis Library Foundation helps make it happen.

active programs funded across Memphis Public Libraries

Way, way beyond books.

Did you know Memphis Public Libraries are only partially funded by tax dollars?

Almost everything else beyond buildings, books, and staff requires funding from private sources. To provide invaluable resources throughout the city, the Memphis Library Foundation raises money to expand the programming, collections, services, and accessibility of all 18 branches in Memphis.

MEET THE FOUNDATION

Is there an echo in here?

Nope! But Memphis Public Libraries is the first-ever two-time recipient of the National Medal for Museum and Library Service awarded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services. And that’s something worth celebrating (twice).
